Jordanian, Saudi FM meet to discuss bilateral ties, regional issues

(MENAFN) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, met on Saturday in Riyadh with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, according to a statement from Jordan’s Foreign Ministry.

The talks were part of ongoing coordination and consultation between the two countries. Both ministers explored ways to strengthen the longstanding ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.

They also exchanged views on regional issues, with particular focus on consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza, advancing to the second phase of the agreement, and preventing further escalation in the occupied West Bank.

Safadi and Prince Faisal reaffirmed their commitment to continued joint action and coordination on regional matters, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in promoting security, stability, and support for Arab causes.
