The US Navy's Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) Program will spearhead the program alongside Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), according to the announcement.
Ship OS will unify fragmented information streams from disconnected enterprise platforms, outdated databases and live operational data sources to pinpoint manufacturing delays, optimize engineering processes and enable proactive risk identification.
The substantial capital injection represents Washington's commitment to revitalizing domestic naval construction capabilities through cutting-edge digital tools, positioning American shipyards to meet escalating defense demands while enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the maritime supply chain.
