Serbia Reveals Plans to Deepen Huawei Collaboration

(MENAFN) Serbia announced plans on Tuesday to broaden its collaboration with Chinese tech powerhouse Huawei, aiming to enhance safety across its road and railway networks.

At a meeting with Huawei executives, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic emphasized the government's ongoing drive to modernize transportation through advanced technology. She noted that Huawei has proven to be a consistent and trusted partner in Serbia’s digital transformation.

The partnership between Serbia and Huawei spans nearly ten years and includes initiatives across public safety, education, and digital infrastructure. The Chinese firm also runs an innovation hub in Belgrade, dedicated to research and nurturing local expertise.

Jin Mu, deputy general director of Huawei’s operations in Serbia and Hungary, acknowledged the ongoing backing from Serbian authorities. He expressed gratitude for the continuous support from Serbian institutions and voiced confidence in the prospects for further cooperation.
